"Pass the Dutchie" is a song produced by Toney Owens from Kingston and the British Jamaican reggae band Musical Youth, taken from their debut studio album, The Youth of Today. The reggae song was a major hit, peaking at number one on the UK Singles Chart. Outside the United Kingdom, it peaked within the top ten of the charts in the United States and sold over 5 million copies : Reggae, reggae-pop.

The music in this cassette is definately a remark of that band, which unfortunately only had few albums, because of personal problems 1 or 2 of the brothers had. IT IS NOT the typical Reggae, not even close. It's some sort of African reggae/rock something that is /5(12).

But, it was about 45 minutes to drive home, at 55 max MPH speed limit. So I would tend to buy a cassette to listen to for the drive home. I was getting ready to graduate May of I remember the album I bought: Ramones – Subterranean Jungle. The cassette was the big novelty hit of ’ MTV crossover: Musical Youth – Pass the Dutchie.
